GET RESCUED IN GULFPORT
MARCH 1 2008

Your Subtitle text

Get Rescued in Gulfport is an event for animal rescue groups from across the state of Florida.
Gulfport Florida is a pet friendly community that opens it's heart to this very special event.

GET RESCUED.....IN GULFPORT  is a festival, in downtown Gulfport Florida  which offers all animal rescue groups an opportunity to showcase their rescue and raise much needed funds.

Get Rescued.....in Gulfport was established in 2005 with the sole purpose of bringing together 501 (c) (3) registered 'non profit' animal rescue charities.  The City of Gulfport is enthusistic about the idea of a festival atmosphere that will allow rescue groups to showcase adoptable pets, promote their work and raise money so their cause may be continued.

Get Rescued..... in Gulfport 2007 was a huge success.  Four dogs adopted as a result of this event much money and awareness raised. On Saturday March 1, 2008, the event will be five times larger than 2007.  We need your support and participation to make the event five times more successful.
Our pets motivate us to rescue, please let the love of your personal pets encourage you to make a difference.
Please visit our site frequently to see what's new.

MaJical Miniatures

MaJical Miniatures takes in Wildlife, Exotic, and Farm animals, and strives to provide quality life for animals that are injured and cannot be released back into the wild, rehabbed and released when possible, or adopted as a beloved farm pet, with those choices dependent on the type of animal and their situation.

When they cannot be released or placed, they spend their lives here, cared for, loved, and valued as teachers for the individuals and groups that tour here to visit the animals and learn who those animals are, and what they need.

Our greatest mission beyond medical and emotional care for each animal that crosses our path of care, is teaching.  When humans learn about each animal, they find more respect for their individual ways of life.  That in itself, gives back to the lives of other animals.

We are looking forward to receiving your information about the event, and doing all we can to educate, share, and provide some enjoyment to the public that arrives to walk the event.

Mission Statement for Small Paws® Rescue Inc.
A Federal Not-for-profit Animal Rescue Organization

Small Paws Rescue Information

The mission of Small Paws® Rescue Inc., a charitable, Federal not-for-profit organization, is and supply any Bichon Frise or Bichon mix, nationwide, regardless of age or medical condition, with love, shelter, food, human companionship, medical care, and spay-neuter services through local veterinarians until permanent placement is secured into a prescreened loving home, as long as the dog is not dangerous to humans or other dogs.

Small Paws® Rescue Inc. will accept into rescue any Bichon Frise or Bichon Frise mix who is either abandoned in a shelter or living with an owner who can no longer supply care. We also participate in rescue and placement of Bichons who are culled from the Puppy Mills or purchased at Puppy Mill auctions.
We wish to eliminate the euthanasia of any healthy, adoptable Bichon Frise in our country. We do not accept euthanasia as a means of population control for animals.
Educating and informing the public about the commercial dog industry in America and about responsible pet ownership is also very important to us, as well as reviving the spirit of volunteerism across our country.
Small Paws® Rescue Inc. is composed of approximately 6000 people in 20 countries, and over eight hundred volunteers across America. Our volunteers are willing to foster, transport, or otherwise assist in this massive rescue effort. We are supported entirely by donations and fund raisers. We have approximately 35 volunteer staff members as well.
Our vision: We hope to see a day when there is no longer a market for puppies sold in the pet shops of America. Then and only then, will the suffering endured by thousands of companion animals in the puppy mills of America, cease.
Our Future Goal: Our goal is to ensure that no Bichon Frise is forced to live his or her life in a Puppy Mill or needlessly euthanized anywhere in America because of the lack of medical care or an available, loving home.
Our Accomplishments: Small Paws® Rescue has rescued, vetted and rehomed over 5300 Bichons since it's inception in September of 1998. Small Paws® Rescue is the largest organized Bichon Frise rescue organization in the country today.

MISSION STATEMENT OF LOST WOLF RESCUE, INC.
We at Lost Wolf Rescue, Inc., are dedicated to providing rescue and safe sanctuary to abused, abandoned or otherwise displaced captive bred wolves and wolf dogs. It is reported that up to 80% of all wolf dogs, born each year in the U.S., will be dead or in rescue by the age of 2 years old. These magnificent creatures have unwillingly become the VICTIMS of our human social culture. The plight of the wolf dog is growing exponentially each year due to IRRESPONSIBLE BREEDERS, who are driven only by the motivation of financial gain. The sale of these pups to UNPREPARED INDIVIDUALS will unfold into a nightmare and the wolf dogs are paying the ULTIMATE PRICE…….NEGLECT, ABUSE & DEATH.

The real irony is that wolf dogs are not ferocious nor aggressive animals. Most of the animals in rescue have suffered horrific physical and emotional trauma at the hands of humans. In spite of their prior abuse, most of these animals will respond to love and affection and in return will become the most loyal and loving companions a human could ever expect to have. Lost Wolf Rescue will remain dedicated to providing rescue and safe sanctuary for these animals as well as education and resources for prospective wolf dog owners.
