Rules for Participating in the Evening Event

 

All rescue groups may place silent auction items, a max. of 25 items each rescue in the evening fundraising event. This will allow rescue groups to raise an unlimited amount of money as you will receive 100% of the proceeds your items brought at auction.

* Auction items may be gift baskets, gift certificates, items. Wine baskets are acceptable.

* Rescue groups will place all their items together on the same table and we greatly encourage a member of your rescue stay for the evening event and monitor your items. Guests may have questions, you will also have the opportunity to speak about your rescue.

Registering your auction items at the venue

 

* Bring your auction items to the Gulfport Casino, 5500 Shore Blvd.

The venue is on the southern far side of Beach Blvd. Between the hours of 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM.

* Please provide a list of auction items (I.e. Wine Basket, GC Disney, Diamond Ring, etc)

* Auction volunteers will assist in preparing Auction Bid Sheets. It will be your responsibility to verify that your rescue group is written at the top of each Bid Sheet. This is how you will be paid for your auction items. You will also need to have an estimated value of your item to be place for auction.

* If you register over 10 items, you will be asked to place your items on the auction tables. This will give you an opportunity to showcase your items. You need not provide any tables or table cloths…..the venue will be professional set up.

* In the event you have an item that receives no bids, the item must be removed by you at the end of the evening.

Your rescue volunteer need not pay the $20 ticket price if they stay with the auction items during the eve. You are only allowed 2 volunteers to stay without purchasing a ticket. Should your volunteers choose to eat at the venue, it will cost $10 per meal. This is the amount we are paying for the food per person. You will have plenty of time to eat at the event.

Paying Rescues

Please allow not more than 30 days to be paid for your auction items. We will work very hard to pay you more quickly.

**VERY IMPORTANT**

Auction Items sell for more when there is competition.

Please do whatever you can to sell tickets!
