"Going to the Dogs is Elemental...my Dear"
 
Another fun food event at Elements Global Cuisine, located in the dog friendly waterfront community of Gulfport.
The restaurant is taking it one step further than the ubiquitous Yappy Hour for dogs.
On Tuesday August 12 from 5PM-7PM this popular local restaurant (with Doggie Permit #0001)
will host its first ever "Wine, Dine with your Canine" Event.
"During the past 18 months, over 100 dogs have enjoyed the restaurant's patios with their owners,
whether for drinks, dinner or dessert, but we thought we should go the extra mile
and hold a special evening for our pet loving customers" states Chef/Owner Jose Luis Pawelek.
"We will feature both menu specials and drink discounts for our human diners and also create a small
natural doggie menu"  adds Pastry Chef/Owner Catherine Pawelek
"But most importantly it will also be a fundraiser for "Get Rescued in Gulfport",
an event that benefits dozens of local animal  rescue groups. "
The Pawelek's 2 dogs Tango and Cassis  started displaying allergies last year to their dog
food and treats and so they switched them to a corn/soy/wheat -free diet, which worked
wonders and they found "Fred's Finest Doggie Treats" (no corn, soy or wheat) and
have been passing out these dog biscuits to the many dogs that walk by their
their restaurant.
"With ingredients like honey, ginger and molasses these cookies taste as good as they smell"
remarks Catherine.
There will be prizes, grab bags, freebies, gift certificates and a raffle, so bring yourself
and your 4 legged friends to Elements. Of course they are praying for the weather to
cooperate and may have to consider a rain day alternate.
